5th Dec,2006 Nanyang JC graduation dinner & dance at The Fullerton Hotel, 7pm. The time indicated on the ticket for the dinner to start was 7pm, but it dragged until 8plus. Everybody was standing around,chit chatting,taking pictures happily.  The Fullerton Hotel While waiting for the dinner to start, we were standing patiently outside the ballroom, helping ourself to the table of peanuts and drinks served. Oops,forgot to take some pics of the peanuts :X  The Red Carpet The dinner started off with the MC giving us a summary of what the night is going to be, ie. there will be games played throughout the dinner. Follow by a speech made by our principal Mr Kwek. The whole ballroom was separated into two teams, King and Queen (where the teachers table were). First start, the game was a cheering competition, whichever team's cheer satisified the MC will get the points. Next was the game 'running to the stage'(haha proudly named by me). This game is like if the MC call for those who are wearing spectacles, members on either team must rush to the stage in about 10sec, the team which have more people on the stage, will earn the points. After which, the buffet starts. Not much comments for the food because it wasnt very bad or nice. Next game was to find items that start with each of the letters in 'THE RED CARPET". Eg. items that start with 'T' in 'THE RED CARPET' maybe tablespoon, 'E' maybe EZ link card, etc etc. Overall, i think the Queen lost because the points was 9000 Vs 5000( WOW what a trash!), but the MC didnt announce the winning team, instead he did a lucky draw, to pick the winning TABLE. After the games, it was the lucky draw of the 5th prize to 9th prize.Ta Da~~ I WON a $120 Vivocity vouchers(i bet she's very happy haha). The 1st prize was 2 return trip from bangkok, 2nd was a 4GB ipod nano, 3rd was a night stay at the fullerton courtyard,4th was a 1 GB ipod nano.
5th Prize $120 Vivocity vouchers Then, it was time to pick our Prom King and Queen.The Prom king nominees are required to dance to a 70s music, and the Queen are required to do a catwalk. After that, the dinner is over, and its time for DANCE~~ Yeah, the atmosphere there was like a pub, and now i know why people in disco are sweating like hell. After the prom, the few of us does'nt feel like going home, so we walk around aimlessly. Then we went to this LAVIVA at CHIJMES for a couple of drinks.
La~Vi~Va~~  Mocktails & CocktailsThere were Singapore Sling, Kinky martini, Lime martini and 1 more I forgot the name. After the drinks, we walked back to the river near Fullerton, and sat down the benches. We basically had no idea what to do, just sat down there and wait for the time to pass. Ooooo, finally, we have decided to go home and we hopped into a cab with our wonderful day end... ... |
